Wedding colours- Butter yellow

Yellow has had somewhat of a renaissance this year, and I understand it’s on trend for next as well. Not the cloying sharp daffodil yellow that actually makes me wince ( unless it is kept to the daffs) but the soft, mellow, warm, buttery kind. It photographs beautifully, doesn’t shout, but adds depth to whites and greens. It’s fresh and flattering too against summer tans.

With so many brides favouring pink flowers, the demand for them is higher and therefore those flowers are more costly. Less demand for the yellow and although fewer flower varieties are available, the prices are better, so a colour not to forget!

I loved the yellow wedding we did for Alex and Tom, and the idea to add lemons was swooped up by Vicky of Binney and Boarder, who provided crates of them in abundance. Yellow and white cushions and umbrellas added to the sunny, pretty look of this wedding, brilliantly captured by Cleo Leather Visuals.
