Our Green Mission – We are committed to treading on our Earth as lightly as possible and leave as little impact on the planet as we can.
Waste
We have stringent flower orders to ensure there is little to no waste (pre orders are much appreciated by us and avoid you being disappointed as we sell out fast).
Any general waste generated is always recycled, reused or composted.
Plastic, Energy & Carbon Footprint
We committed in 2019 to never use OASIS the non biodegradable plastic floral foam again. The first florist in Jersey to make such a promise.
Our packaging is all fully recyclable and necessary cellophane used to keep flowers hydrated is 100% compostable. We do not store our flowers in fridges so use less energy and even moved our premises to one that was cooler so the need for aircon and excessive energy use was not required. Our mission is to switch our Wilde Thyme delivery vehicles to electric.
Whilst we use locally grown flowers where possible, we do import flowers, from our Dutch Supplier.
People & Community
For all our in-store gifts and wares, we partner with suppliers who share our ethos of conscious living.
We have two chosen charities we have supported for many years-
Durrell, Jersey Wildlife Preservation Trust and JAAR, Jersey Action Against Rape.
More recently, we have also been supporting Jersey Women’s Refuge
Flowers are donated to Les Petits Ecole, a day care for children, where they enjoy using them for creative and nature classes.
